My music video covers many different techniques along with various settings. For my video i used a suttle feel. I used a small set of moods for my video. I wanted it to be a simple love dedication for those who are in love and for the video people can relate to it. I used a set of shots because i did not want to confuse the audience with overpowering scenes full of love. I needed to find the right atmosphere to fit the song, so i decided to go for a relaxed situation and just sing to the camera as if i'm telling the boy how i feel about him.
I had 5 locations which i chose that would match the feel of the music.
I used my bathroom, as it has a plain white background and thought this would be a great shot to show the intensity of the singer. I took this white background idea from Yasmin's music video 'On my own'. I thought this was a great shot to show the character of the singer.
The drama room, which i thought was a great location to shoot, my guitar scene with a black background focusing on the singer and guitar. As i chose for this scene to be in sepia the back and sepia match really well.
My friend Richard's house, this was to show the couple, who are in love. I decided to film outside and inside to show various positions where the couple would hang out.
The garden was the best location as one day i had the camera and it started snowing and thought it would be a great idea for it to be in my music video. This was the best scene i filmed as it gave a girly feel to it, and being in love with someone when its snowing is a great thought. As the song has a Taylor Swift influence, the snow was perfect for the theme, as it put it all together and made it really intense.
I also shot in my bedroom, where i would be singing as if i was talking to the guy through the camera.
I used many transitions in my music video, to help swoon the scenes smoothly one by one. It worked greatly as the 2 second transitions make the video look so much better than they would without. The editing was very troublesome as i was working on my own, and didn't have anyone to back me up, so i took it slow and in the end was so happy with my edited piece.

2) How effective is your combination of your main product and ancillary texts (DVD digipak, Magazine advert)?
I feel like the combination of my my main product and ancillary texts are very well compensated to one another, as they all have a theme of a girly influence. The music video is very natural, calming, so i wanted the digipak and the magazine advert to compliment the music video for people to enjoy the combination more. I used screenshots from the music video to use in my digipak and my magazine advert as i didn't want to draw attention away from the music video. I wanted to incorporate the video and my digipak and magazine advert all together as if i was promoting it in real life. To make my digipak and magazine advert i used a photo editing software on the web called Picnik. I used simple pastle colours to go with the vibe of the video.

3) What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
From my audience feedback, i got members of my class to watch my music video. I asked them to come up with one word which best describes it. I have made a wordle which is shown above with the selected words they said. I also made a questionnaire for people to fill out. The questions were:
1. What did you find interesting about the video?
2. Do you understand the storyline of the video?
3. Do you think the video matched the song?
4. Would you buy this song?
5. Who do you think the video is aimed at?

4) How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

To begin my music video preparation, i used unsigned.com, this a site that promotes new artists. I found my perfect artist after 2 days of browsing the site. As soon as i heard it i knew it was perfect and had all these ideas flowing. I went to youtube and got the song and converted it to an MP3 using clipconverter.com. I listened to the song on my iPod when i was out and about to see if i could get inspirations. I used my Blackberry mobile

to export pictures which i took of the editing process and filming to put on the iMacs. The internet played a huge role in my research as i went on Google to see if i could get any music video ideas. i came across a really good video which i found of the singer Yasmin. I tried to base it on that using specific moments from the video. To construct my video and planning process i used Blogger.
For the filming process i used a Cannon HD camera which was a great quality camera.

To edit my music video i used Final Cut express.

I uploaded my video via Youtube.
