Creating my own digipak

So i need to think of some ideas of what i would like for my own digipak. The song is all about being 'crazy' in love with someone. So its going to have some elements of love to it. i also want some things im interested in. I'm going to take some photographs and see how they work all together.

Digipak

Digipak is a patented style of compact disc packaging, it can also be used for DVD's and is a registered trademark of AGI Media. Digipaks are a gatefold paperboard with one or more plastic trays capable of holding a CD or DVD attached to the inside.

So today is going to be my first day of filming. I have to set up everything myself and do hair and make-up. During these weeks i have found it very difficult to find someone to help me be in the video. So I've decided to be in it personally. The make-up i will be using is a pink lipstick and mascara only. This scene needs to be a neutral scene.

Michael Jackson changed music videos forever with the 1983 release of Thriller.


With a big-name movie director at the helm and clocking in at 14 minutes, it aspired to Hollywood production values and forever raised the bar.

Although Thriller wasn't a pastiche as such, it borrowed heavily from Landis' horror-comedy An American Werewolf In London, and led to all manner of videos inspired by movies like Madonna's Material Girl.

Madonna will forever be known as 'the Material Girl' thanks to that song's iconic video which saw Madge don a pink dress, gloves and jewels in a knowing parody of Marilyn Monroe's Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend routine from the 1953 film Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

So my whole concept of my music video will be Me being a fashionista singer who will be changing outfits all through my video, as this is what i want the singer to be percieved as, to have a strong image.

Health and Safety Risk Assessment

1) No filming in inappropriate locations.
2) Check safety of locations e.g. roads.
3) Minimise risk of theft of equipment
4) When filming on location ensure teacher or responsible adult know where you are and have telephone number and when you will return.
5) Check all equipment is working before your leave.
6) Ensure you have permission for filming if necessary.
7) Always film with at least one other person.
8) Ensure you have the permission of those you are filming.

Costume Ideas

Costumes is very important in a music video and this sets the scene and tells everyone the genre along with the sound of the music. For my video i will be going for a classic girly feel to the styling. I will be producing all the styling myself, finding the perfect outfits to fit the video.

Theme of my music video

My theme of my video will be a relaxed video with a girly influence. I have got inspirations from Corinne Bailey Rae and Taylor Swift.My song's video will have an wintery feel to it.

Here is an example of using colour co-ordination with a split screen, which i may use in my video.
